Yes this is to be true that Benfield valley is no more! I worked here for 6 years but after 3 brothers who didn't care about the country side of the coures wanted the land to be built on, only thinking if there bank balance ! At this moment in time they have all ready sold the land depending on planning which looks very likely! Such as Shame the greens and fairways are well over a 165 years old!.
